And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Sometimes we can feel small or insignificant, but God has a plan for us. He has a purpose. We can make the choice to follow our own plans, or we can make the choice to surrender our lives to His leading and be part of God’s plan. 

God’s plan may be very different from your plan, and it can be really hard to accept that. Sometimes we can look back and see how God was working and see the reason why our plans didn’t work out. Other times, we may never understand until heaven. But surrendering your life and choices to God is how you can make an eternal impact. 

The choice is yours: do you want to be part of God’s plan or do you want to follow your own plan with your life? 

If you know an older Christian (maybe a grandparent or older person at your church) ask them about times when they had a plan, but instead they chose God’s plan and see what happened. You could also ask about a time when they didn’t follow God’s leading and pushed ahead with their plans and how that worked out.
