Spring at WCRC

Today at our staff meeting, June, our Guest Services director, gave a short devotion on spring.  She said that spring reminds her of new life.  After months of seeing lifeless, leafless trees, we are now seeing buds and leaves and flowers.  Where once there was a semblance of death, there is now new life.  She said it reminds her of 2 Corinthians 5:17 which promises that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.  Also, John 15 reminds us that we need to stay attached to Jesus, the vine, in order for that new life to continue and thrive and bear fruit.  What a blessing to be reminded of God’s provision and his creativity and his faithfulness to bring us from death to life.  Thank you, June!

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

John 15:5   “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
