Program Director
Began working at WCRC in 2006
From Harrisonburg, Virginia
What do you like most about your job?
Seeing people grow in their faith. I also love the variety; guided activities, retreats and camp.
Why do you like working at WCRC?
I love the people that I work with each day, who challenge me to grow deeper in my walk with God. I also love WCRC’s peaceful atmosphere.
Do you have a favorite moment from your time at WCRC you’d like to share?
I love sitting down and praying with my summer camp staff when they are having a difficult day. One day a staff member passed me in the dinning hall and said they were really blessed by something that I said to them the previous day. The funny thing was I didn’t remember the conversation from the previous day and what I had told them was so eloquent, encouraging, and brilliant. I knew right then those were not my words or even my actions that blessed that person, because I wasn’t even aware of it happening, but it was God working through me to touch them.
Do you have a favorite Bible verse?
Jeremiah 29:11
What has God been teaching you lately?
To be patient and wait on His direction.
Why should people come to stay at WCRC or participate in one of our events?
Because when we step away from the busyness and distractions of life we are able to hear God speaking to us more clearly. I am convinced that God has something special He wants us to know about who He is shaping us into that will empower us as we step back into the craziness of life.
