Several weekends ago we had about 15 couples here for our Marriage Retreat doing a Love & Respect video conference. On evaluations filled out by participants the most common response when asked for the highlight of the retreat was ‘spending time away with my spouse.’ We’re glad to be able to provide a place where couples can step out of the busyness of life and focus on each other.
Here are some of the things our participants learned:
“That it is all about me – I need to be the one to move forward in obedience.”
“To learn to be silent.”
“Her respect, regardless of his love.”
“That I can do more to help our marriage.”
“Focusing on showing love, when it’s not natural.”
“Love and respect is very simple in concept, but big in rewards.”
“The main thing was being reminded how pleasing it is to God when I obey him, especially when I don’t want to.”
Thank you all for coming, we hope to see you again!
