Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

While this verse is specifically mentioning our thoughts, I’m pretty sure we can assume that if these are the things we should be thinking about, these are also the things we should be talking about.
 
For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Luke 6:45

If you are dwelling on pure and lovely things in your heart and mind; those types of things will come out of your mouth as well.

Are your words pure? Do you speak of things that are honorable? Do you speak of others with praise?

​Consider one of the virtues mentioned in the Philippians passage: true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, or worthy of praise. Today, try to remember that virtue throughout all your conversations.
