Avoid the entertainment-only summer camps

Here we believe that camp is a powerful ministry.

Camp changes kids. We think that happens because of three powerful components: God’s creation, God’s Word, and God’s people.

Getting outside is simply good for kids.  Not only that, but God uses His creation to draw our hearts to Him.  God’s Word is also powerful and as kids get into the Bible through worship and devotions, His Word begins to transform their hearts.  Finally, God’s people – our counselors – are trained to meet each camper where they are on their journey of faith and to help them take that next step.  We hope to inspire our campers to say “yes” to God.

  • My 11-year daughter had the time of her life at the Kaleidoscope camp! At first, we were a little concerned because she would be with other campers older than her (up to age 13) and we weren’t sure what to expect She was very shy the first day and after I dropped her off I wondered if she would be included with the other older girls in her cabin I was reassured that she had a great time when she came home and said that she had made 9 new friends and that she couldn’t wait to go back next year She told me about the delicious food they served (which made me feel bad that I don’t provide hot meals every morning!) and the wonderful activities like the pool and zipline She loved their hilarious camp skits that taught her lessons and she really loved the canoeing/kayaking The staff, including Josh, was always very helpful, including taking personal texts from me during the camp week We really appreciate the WCRC providing awesome activities that are truly fun for youth and also lead them closer to God!

  • UPDATED – 2nd year at Family Camp and was even better Camp Staff went over an above for my gluten intolerance! and the counselors? Magical with our kids (and great ambassadors for Jesus)

WOW Just WOW I felt like I attended the camp that I missed as a kid!! We had such an amazing experience at Family Camp 2016 We made new friends, we hung out with old friends, ate great (and nutritious!) food, slept in spotless cabins, swam in a well-guarded pool, climbed trees, hiked, played games that I never heard of, laughed and laughed at myself and the antics of the counselors, learned how to shoot arrows, marbles and toast marshmallows from the silliest staff My kids (and WE!) were very impressed by this fun, Christian environment: constant supervision, loose schedule with lots of room for private fun and excursions, plenty of scheduled fun to choose from, great communication and all ran by people that truly love their jobs and God HIGHLY recommend this experience

Realizing that families have differing abilities to help offset these increased costs, WCRC has implemented a new voluntary and confidential tiered pricing structure. Rather than raising all camp fees to levels that better help cover expenses–and risk missing out on ministry opportunities for those who might not be able to afford camp–we are giving you the option to pay more if you are able.

HOW IT WORKS:

Simply choose the price that works for you! The price you choose remains confidential and does not influence the quality of the camp experience for any child attending camp.

  1. Price A – Most closely reflects the actual cost of camp. If you choose this price, you are helping to sustain our ministry here and keep our camp running.
  2. Price B – Is our partially subsidized option which allows us to cover more of our expenses. If you choose this price, you are helping offset more costs.
  3. Price C – Does not reflect the true cost of camp, but we offer it in the hope that families will be blessed by this more affordable price. Please choose this price if you need to!

Scholarships are still available for those who require further financial assistance.
