I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

To glorify God means to reveal his glory. When we live our lives with an attitude of thankfulness to God, it reveals his glory to those around us.

Often when you ask someone what they are thankful for, many of the answers fall under the category of God’s provision to meet our material needs. Food, family, friends, your house, these are all things the Lord has provided. There are many other aspects of God’s character that we can be thankful for though, and we don’t want to forget about those! We can thank him for being loving, merciful and patient just to name a few.

How can you glorify the Lord and reveal a broader picture of his character by being thankful?

Dig Deeper

Every day in November chose an attribute/character trait of God to be thankful for and set aside a couple minutes to pray ‘God I’m thankful that you are…’

If you can’t think of 30, use this as a chance to do some studying and research into God’s character. If you’re posting 30 days of thankfulness on a social media site, consider making this your theme!
